A Tan Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar

Came here with a friend to chat during lunch. The staff were great, but they were a bit too fast for a relaxing conversation.

I had the Makunouchi lunch box and really enjoyed it. All the things that I wanted and more. Started with Miso soup and California roll. Ended with salmon teriyaki and ended with shrimp tempura. The only problem is that we barely finished one "course" before the next arrived.

The parking lot was pretty empty in the front, but maybe that's because the planters lined across the front of the restaurant create a barrier for anyone to walk from their car to door.
As this was my first time here, I was hoping to ask the server questions about menu. Every restaurant has their own specialties; unfortunately, our server was new and had no experience with the cuisine. We were seated right next to another couple, despite the many empty seats around the restaurant. Nobody seemed to be willing to help our server out. We ordered food that was pretty much standard as far as sushi rolls go, but I feel like we really missed out on the experience because our server was uninformed.
What we did order was good. The tea and rolls were good. Better than Shogun at Creekside. I was not happy with my experience; this place has potential to be so much better. Train your staff.

The soup, salad and the dessert are wonderful. I had the hot and sweet chicken, and I was let down. It is not spicy at all, it's decent flavor. But if your looking for spicy, the chicken is not it. They have plenty of options for sushi. We want to go back and try the beef options, and dried rice.

Love this place! Great sushi and ramen. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is friendly. Make sure you stop in and try it out for yourself. I'm glad it's in our town.
