Amazing customer service, outstanding selection of staple German foods, and BEER. I had The Friesenhaus Original Bratwurst, The Herbal Bratwurst, and The Smoked Bratwurst which was my favorite. The fried mashed potatoes were just crunchy on the outside, and perfectly smooth and hearty on the inside. I liked that the skins were left in the handmade mashed potatoes, it really lends to the fresh quality available. The tomato salad was expressive and delightfully loud flavored with chopped herbs. Besides the food, the, service, and the BEER the architecture is also stunning, with exposed beams, wooden mosaics, and rough natural hand hewn surfaces surrounding you like a tree hug. This is the place to take someone special. Get a 1liter beer, some fried mashed potatoes, and settle in for a one of a kind comfort food experience!
Excellent food. Good prices. Good environment. Very German look. Nice staff. I want to back again to enjoy their food, beers and Germany's atmosphere.
Delicious food at a nice restaurant. My wife spent time in Germany and commented their spatzle is very close to what she had there (it tastes great). Their herbal brats are very good as well as the red cabbage side. The aesthetic is heavily centered around wood and traditional German architecture which was very pleasant. We will definitely return!
I should have taken a picture when the meal first came out, but it look so good that my mouth was watering with delight to taste it. I stopped half way through the sandwich just long enough to take this photo. Trust me this half didn't last too much longer either. I have only one other Ruben sandwich that has stood up against it. That would be a small little dinner outside Tyler, Texas. All I have to say is "yummy!"
