Dickey's Barbecue Pit

The "Westerner" sandwich was delicious ... but wasn't prepared as ordered. Big turn off.

Customer service was awesome. Food was good. Ty for the service.

This Dickies location is by far the cleanest I've seen. The customer service is outstanding and the service itself is quick. I would reccomend this location over others in this area. Thank you for the great experience, I'll definitely be coming back!

Dickey's Barbecue Pit has finally come to Gainesville, TX! Don't let the fact that they are a part of the new Mobil Fuel Stop fool you. They are a full line Dickey's restaurant, save the absence of hot links. :-( The Barbecue is flavorful and tender with little fat and virtually no marbling. They have a large selection of sides, a self-service Drink Station that is shared with Golden Chick, and they even have the soft-serve ice cream machine in the corner. There is a sauce station with three types of sauce, and pickles and sliced white onions out in front against the front wall. It is a new and spacious location with comfortable seating. Every 2-person table has a paper towels on a post so you don't have to get up and share the roll with the rest of the restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. And, being a senior couple, we appreciated the discount. Coke aficionados will be disappointed as the drink station is fueled with Pepsi. (The lids for the Big Yellow Cup are offered at checkout and on the Sauce station. The ones by the soft drink dispenser are for the Golden Chick drinks.) But there are 10 options including Dr. Pepper products plus sweet & unsweet tea. We took advantage of the 2 (for a limited time) 2-meat dinners for $22.00 and got out with our discount for under $25.00. Be sure to bring your saved yellow cup to get their $0.99 drink refill special too. Otherwise the menu price is $2.00.

The Google. map location when I wrote this review shows them down the road across from Gainesville HS. I've submitted a correction request to get the listed 1200 IH 35—assuming that is 1200 South IH 35—changed to 1200 NORTH IH 35.
