Cane Rosso

Cane Rosso has had some very positive write-ups lately, so we were curious to visit. In the heart of Montrose, this restaurant has a spacious dining area, with modern, comfortable and functional furniture. It also offers an attractive, covered terrace for outdoor dining. There is an adjacent parking garage, with plenty of space. Service was polite, friendly, helpful and attentive. The small dishes, or appetizers were good, but not above average and served without much attempt at a nice presentation. The pizzas were tasty, but the crusts were soggy in places, charred in others. The wine list is limited, including the choices by the glass. Prices are in keeping with other pizza places in town. This is a nicer than average pizza restaurant, but the food could use some improvement.

Delicious pizzas! Tasted wonderful and fresh. Thin crust. Awesome flavors. We took a takeout and the delivery was on time. Everybody in the family loved it too. I ll visit more often and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

While I enjoyed the atmosphere and had adequate service, the crust of the pizzas my table ordered was kind of tough. The toppings were delicious and the names satisfyingly punny, but the pizza left something to be desired for the price and portion sizes offered. I'll go back if a friend or group wants to, but I don't expect it will be at the top of my pizza list.

Stopped in for a late lunch with a friend. It was her suggestion and I was very pleased with the result. We shared a pizza that she had again suggested. I didn't see anything that that screamed at me so I said sure. Notice the enthusiasm. Well, I got an extremely pleasant surprise. All I remembered was it had chicken and a pesto sauce drizzled over it. It was delicious.

Overall great experience, no complaints. Our waitress was very attentive, the food was great. They are able to accommodate small and large groups. Brunch prices are not bad; $2 mimosas, app, and pizza split between 2 was $17 and some change.
