Dibs on Victory

It’s a sports bar in Uptown geared toward the under 40 crowd.
The food and drinks are good, but our waitress did seem to forget about us for quite a while even though the place wasn’t that busy during the time we were there.
If you’re in the area it’s definitely worth a try.

As a resident of The 23, I was drawn to Dibs initially based on convenience. After the first visit, I was HOOKED. I love how the ambience feels right at home and like a place that isn’t trying too hard — yet it’s cool, naturally.

Now let’s discuss the awesome people that work here. I love everyone I’ve met, but the standout so far has been Alexander. This dude keeps it 100% and won’t steer you wrong - whether you’re looking for a drink or food recommendation, he’s got you. The passion he has for Dibs and his job is next level and that’s why I love this place. True Dallas service, and consistently.

While the food and drink menu might be semi limited, it’s still flavorful and I have yet to have anything I didn’t love.

This is my go to spot, for sure. Give it a try!

Location, location, location. Right across from the American Airlines center. Great for pre game or post game, or just enjoying happy hour.

Menu is more catered toward appetizers. Decent selection of drinks. There is normally one vegan option on the menu. Went there for a special event and they had a few more available.

Upstairs they have a second bar and a DJ for a fun late night.

Food was pretty good. The specialty cocktails were just okay and the service was terrible. Our waitress seemed to be not really interested in what she was doing? It made it hard to enjoy the meal. This place has a cool vibe but the service made sure I won't be back.

After checking out a few restaurants in the area my friend and I liked the look of Dibs and decided to stop in. The hostess warmly greeted us and asked us if we wanted to sit at the bar inside or the roof top bar. We decided with the weather cooling off to sit at the roof top bar. We were warmly greeted there as well and given menus. After looking through the drinks I got the giggle water, which was vodka, cucumber, sugar, and water. It was super refreshing and made me want to keep drinking it more and more. My friends drink was a little sour, but was okay.

For an appetizer we decided to order their meatballs, which had a nice kick of flavor. They were not super salty and were just overall delicious. Unfortunately it cost us $12 for six and after looking at the prices for entrees we decided to go elsewhere for dinner.

Overall though the service was attentive and nice, three different waitress checked on us. I would come back for a drink, but the food was a little too pricey for my bank account and was small.
