Although it was crowded it only took five minutes to be seated. It was very festive and everyone there were in a calm and happy mood. I ordered three beef crispy tacos and double rice. It didn't take long to get the bowl of fresh hot chips and salsa, which was sweet and spicy. The food was hot and good. The tacos held together with each bite. The meat was seasoned just right, and the shredded cheddar cheese was excellent! I must confess I wish the rice was had a little more season but it was still satisfying!

Delicious food served by an attentive waiter. I'm allergic to wheat and both the hostess and waiter were very helpful. They have a limited gluten-free menu, but that's to be expected. I would definitely go again!

I'll say this: It is Wednesday at 11:01am. El Felix opened at 11. I'd estimate it's already at 60% capacity. I'm glad I arrived at 10:40am because by the time doors opened, the line wrapped the block. You are definitely going to enjoy yourself here. Food is delicious & comes rather quickly. I like the decorations too. Also, I'm not sure why the Coco-Cola down here is better, but it is. You can also tell the Flour Tortillas are handmade because they're very soft and flavorful. Quick walk to the DART at West End, so no need to drive. Parking is across the street but, like most places in the city, costs money. I'd recommend the DART anyway because it's $2 and a cool experience. Ricardo was my server today. He was great. Thanks Ricardo! One last thing: Don't forget to take a picture with the "Don't mess with Tex Mex" sign on the side of the building.
