It's okay but not authentic at all. The food is alright and the customer service is great. It is an above average place to eat and for family places.
They would have received 5 stars if they would have shown up to the private event on-time, 20 minutes late, plus they were setting up while my guest were inside. One of the managers was the delivery driver. As a manager you must know the location before arriving and not come up with a lame excuse about the exit being closed, because all of my guest didn’t have a problem.
The food was actually very well cooked and we had no complaints. Keep cooking great food, but please improve on your delivery and setup.
Went during lunch time and would know it would be busy. They have an enchilada special on Wednesday for $5.99. The service is pretty fast and decor inside is good. The swirl margarita is also good.
Improvements- the Parking lot should be redone. It’s very frustrating how it’s designed because most of the lanes are one way but one and it’s coming Into the lot which of people are reversing your half on the property half on the main road and that’s dangerous!
Also Dallas has some bad weather a week ago and no one at El Felix removes the debris of trees and sticks blocking a lot of the parking in such a busy place. One lady saw that I was struggling and she walk over and moved the tree limb that was blocking me.
Also make it easier to pay because the line get backed up during lunch time.
El Fenix is a place our family has gathered for years. Ester is usually our server as we ask for her when we come in and she always takes excellent care of us. El Fenix is the one place I can get Mexican food that reminds me of what I loved to eat in Phoenix. It is not typical Tex-Mex, it is much better. The staff takes great care of us and we love the food. This place has memories that go back 60 years and in all that time the great food and service have always brought us back.
