Many Fine Dining restaurants have an air of snootiness about them - not Gemma. We were able to get a last minute reservation and so happy that we could. From the minute we walked in the door we were treated like we were regulars (it was our fist time at Gemma). The food was exceptional. The fried olives and pecans were a yummy appetizer. The chicken porchetta and the egg noodle pasta was superb. Will definitely be going back.
Came here one evening two weeks ago while I had a new client come in town for a meeting. This was easily one of the best meals I've had in a while. Every dish from beginning to end was on point and full of flavor. Getting hungry just thinking about it. Only thing that I would like to see an improvement on was the timing. Once my order was put in the dishes just kept coming out from the kitchen at a frantic pace. I was only part of the way through my salad appetizer when the entree came out. As a result i had to rush through the salad as I didn't want the entree to get cold. Otherwise, it was a great meal. Looking forward to going back!
Excellent experience and food. The grilled fish with carrots and zucchini was wonderful. The chicken with gnocchi was crispy and flavorful. It was wonderful as well. I recommend going here over sachet or sixty vines... for similar type food with better flavor and preparation.
Lovely restaurant with mostly well executed food. Seems to be more hype than substance given the popularity and the way people rave about it. The scones are OK, not worth the hype if you've had the real thing before. The steaks are like any other steak from a decent restaurant in Dallas. It's worth a visit but I wouldn't build your night around it.
Tried it for the first time today to celebrate a birthday. The service was great, Chad, our server was nice and attentive. Atmosphere was pretty casual and the place was clean. Parking is limited but they do have a valet, so bring cash to tip them. I had the crab salad and the steak. The salad was okay but was still pretty refreshing. The steak was good, seasoned well, and cooked as ordered. People are raving about the scones and they are not lying, these scones are crazy good. I had a good experience but there was something missing with the food, I felt like I could go to a local chain restaurant and taste the same meal, I probably need to try something else next time.
