Odelay Tex-Mex

Pretty good, but nothing extra special. Fajitas were alright, definitely have had better especially for the price. Good atmosphere.

New Mexican restaurant in Inwood Village. Very large outdoor patio the Decour is really cool. The drinks are good expensive but good as is the food but you can only imagine the amount of rent they pay. And for some reason the best Mexican beans and rice I’ve ever had, off the charts. Service can be slow so be patient.

So we came upon this place by accident - we were coming to the area to have a smoothie but decided Mexican & margaritas were a better idea 😅. The service from the bar was incredible., and why we gave 5 stars. We initially had a bad experience with being told the kitchen was open, then when we were seated it was closed, and then when we said something it was open again. The half order of Nachos we ordered came with three nachos lol - not what we were expecting for the price.

BUT. Hector and Pedro at the bar completely turned the experience around. They were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and turned a “I’ll never be back” to a “I’m definitely coming back.” It was a total example of how good people who have an owner’s mentality make a business.

Best tip I can give is come on a Sunday- Wednesday and sit at the bar. You’ll get to meet Hector and Pedro!

Some nice items on the menu to keep you curious. Near Love Field airport and good patio. I will be back.

Good chips and salsa. Hubby loved the crust on the chicken fried steak. Crispy taco was tasty the way a crispy taco can be.

Sour cream chicken enchilada was dry with chicken pulverized almost into a paste. Do not get the tortilla soup if you are looking for a light broth with fresh veggies as this is dark red and muddy.

A ton of money was spent on the decor. The tile in the bar is lovely, and there is art and kitsch everywhere the eye lands.
