We went here with friends to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere and ambiance were great, as the establishment is beautiful. The food was good, a bit on the pricey side for this type of fare, in my opinion. Our server was excellent. I failed to get his name because he definitely should be commended. I feel like the menu could be expanded a bit to offer even more popular southern food items. I had the lobster Mac and cheese, which was excellent! I did not, however care for the presentation, but that's just a personal thing. All in all, it was a unique experience, and I will most likely go back to try the chicken and waffles, which I see are highly recommended.

I really love Yardbird. This was my third visit. I invited my sister and brother in-law. It was their first time, and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is great. If you order the half chicken and waffles, you'll have enough to take home, unless you haven't eaten all day. The atmosphere is wonderful. Great staff!!! You may have to wait a minute for valet parking, but it's worth it.

We had a great time. It is really good. Drinks were great. I would recommend the Yardbird Old Fashioned. Very solid drink. Charcuterie was good as were the deviled eggs. This feedback is aimed at taking 4 stars to 5. The ribs were tasty, but seemed like they had been sitting cooked too long and reheated. The were really wet and had very little pull to them...that is the meat was a little mushy and fell off the bone too easy. Sauce was too sweet for me. We also had the whole bird. The watermelon didn't seem to fresh and had a faint slime coat on the outside. Tasted OK though, but could have been better. The chicken had great flavor but could have been a little more crispy and a slighter thicker breading. It also seemed to have sat awhile as it was as hot or crispy as it could have been. I had such high hopes for the waffle to go with the chicken. It too seemed like it had sat took long and was very lukewarm but not totally cold. We could have sent back but it was still good and we didn't want to wait for a do-over. We had the chocolate cake which was enough for all four of us easy...with a lot left over. The star of the restaurant was our server. Very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and didn't over or under service us. He was always there at the right time. We were around $90-$100/person with drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desert. Given the atmosphere and the quality of the service this seemed about right.

First of all, I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the decor was very warm and inviting! I met up with a friend of mine for an early brunch and it was our first time coming to Yardbird. After we were seated, our waiter Abraham started us off with some coffee and gave us some time to review the menu. Abraham was super attentive and I could tell that he takes pride in providing great service. While reviewing the menu, I noticed the manager, Erica, was walking the floor and I liked that she was visible on a busy Saturday morning. The coffee was fresh and appetizers came out right away. We ordered entrees with a few modifications and when we received our food, the entrees were prepared in error. It seemed that with the restaurant filling up quickly, the kitchen had a mishap in preparing our orders. Mine was an easy fix, but my friend didn’t like her food because it didn’t come out the way she requested. She asked for a different entree that also included modifications and sent back the original order. There was some tension around putting in a new order to replace the entree and it seemed that it was due to the large influx of customers as well as a combination of the kitchen not preparing the orders correctly the first time. Unfortunately, my friends food came out incorrectly again, so at that point we asked for asked for the manager. Erica came to speak with us about the food and I filled her in on what happened leading up to us speaking with her. As a service industry manager myself, I recognized that the stress of a “peak time” came off in our servers tone when communicating with us about the incorrect order. After speaking with both Abraham and Erica, they both came to a resolution quickly and provided us with exceptional customer service in the midst of a bustling brunch hour and I appreciate the efforts that were made to improve our experience tremendously. I am giving 5 stars for exceptional customer service, hospitality and “making the moment right.” I will definitely come back to try Yardbird again in the future.

Great Place. Great Space. Great vibe. Great layout + great service. This is upscale "Southern" food with a heavy emphasis on cocktails, wine and the Bar. The Bar is the center of Yardbird, so it's great for happy hours and dinner with drinks. Our service was great. This is a classic and old-school upscale limited chain with about 6 locations across the US and Singapore. Draft beers are local, cocktails are rustic and prices are actually reasonable. Yardbird is a nice addition to Downtown Dallas and should do well. The menu is fun and a twist on Southern items, but not for everyone. (View the menu to get an idea.) The food is flavorful, fresh and well-prepared. This is a very thoughtful restaurant. NOTE: The bar leans heavily on specialty dark liquors--if you like dark liquor options--that will please you with the broad and unique options.
