The margarita was really good. I don't get the big deal about the cheddar bay biscuits, they were fresh and hot, but they're actually a little salty to me. I guess I get why people like them. They have a reasonable lunch menu with large portion sizes; I was pleasantly surprised. Otherwise the prices are a little expensive. This is definitely not a place to go for a quick lunch, but it's perfect for date night.
I have never left a review before but I could not resist writing one after my experience at Red Lobster at Towne Crossing Blvd, Mesquite. I’m not usually a seafood fan or even a Red Lobster fan but my boyfriend was craving some of the biscuits and seafood and we headed there yesterday evening. After we were seated, our server introduced himself as Ryan B. and immediately took care of us. I have to say that to this day Ryan B. is the best server that I or my boyfriend has had. He was very attentive, very patient, very charming and very knowledgeable. I usually ask for lemon slices for my water and it’s such a chore because the waiters always forget and I have to keep asking which is extremely annoying. I know it reads silly but it’s very important to me because that’s literally the first thing I asked for. Ryan showed up with my lemon water and even gave me some extra slices. He checked up on us periodically, answer our questions, made good and appropriate small talk, and served our food fresh and piping hot as soon as he could. I have worked in the food service industry before and I have never seen someone as excellent as him. I wish I had talked to his managers about how great he is or left him a bigger tip. I’m surely a fan of Red Lobster now and will be back with my family again. I even made sure to take the survey in the receipt and mention him there in my comments. This truly was one of my greatest dining experiences.
Great seafood. I ordered the cedar plank seafood meal. It was outstanding! I bought two...$$, the price did not hurt too much because we truly enjoyed our dinner.
I had not eaten here in over 10 years. We went for Fathers Day. The service was good, I had the shrimp tacos. I thought the presentation of the food and the temperature were good. It could have had a little less of the sauce and I would have enjoyed it more. It was just a little too much or should come on the side so people can add what they want. My husband ordered the shrimp trio and enjoyed it very much. He also got the lobster mashed potatoes for an additional $4 which had 4 small pieces of lobster on top which I would not recommend for the additional surcharge. Go with the regular mashed potatoes and out that money towards your entree. All in all we had a good visit and our server Juan was very nice.
Dolly is the best waitress we have had in years. The power kept going off and on because of the storm. That didn't slow her down a bit. She knew how to get things done without the computer. Great food as usual too.
