I got a coupon for a free lunch and went to try it. Got the Fried Catfish. It was pretty good. I like they have a sauces bar with plenty of ketchup, cocktails sauce, tartar sauce, limes, crackers, etc. I will come back with my entire family.
Delicious!!! Friendly staff, super clean, and all around great atmosphere! Had the fried oyster nachos and they were perfection! So many menu options, can’t wait to explore it more! Definitely a new favorite spot!
Came back for a 2nd visit, because I had to try the gumbo (after reading that hilarious review), and this Cajun girl is HAPPY!!! So good!!!!
Gumbo is not soup! Gumbo is gumbo and soup is soup !
Went here for date night. Everything we had was amazing and fresh. Seafood is one of our favorites and we have been to most places in DFW. Shuck Me by far has the best boiled shrimp. They cooked it to perfection and the texture was perfect. We had the grilled red snapper, oyster nachos, and boiled crab/shrimp. It was full of flavor and great portions. The staff was very friendly and the love music was a nice touch. They were towards the back of the outdoor seating and it wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear one another. We will definitely be back!
I had a bowl of shrimp/sausage gumbo and I must say that the flavor was good however, the texture was not favorable because it was more rice than soup. I paid 8.99 for a bowl of rice with some stuff in it rather than a SOUP with rice. 3 sizes. Got middle size. More soup, less rice. I am gonna go again, order the same thing and see.
*Update-Same thing. I had to ask for less rice and more soup. See all that rice? Not cajun enough. Salad was dry. Had to ask for cheese. Atmosphere is really nice. Not a full seafood place. Selling chicken fried steak and hamburgers in there. (huh?) What's really going on?
My second time here and it’s been consistently awesome from service to food. Happy hour everyday from 3-6. $3 drafts, $6 margaritas that are out of this world. Our go-to are the oyster nachos (not your typical nachos). Highly recommend. We split the 4 shrimp/2 catfish combo and perfect for two people to share. 5 stars for amazing food, atmosphere, and service.
