The Tavern at Lakeside

My wife and I were there for the first time last night. The food was good, service was a little slow due to being busy ( but that was understandable) and a great choice of beers. However, what made me drop the rating down was the " Rap Music" being played. There were several other couples complaining about it as well. They need to choose music that more people like to listen to other than that. Especially for a place as upscale as this.

Really great place to grab a quick bite in a really fun area. Parking is not too bad if you look around. The crowd is cool and the atmosphere is easy going. The menu items are diverse and well prepared.

Great place with outdoor seating! Loved their menu. We had ordered all appetizers Pickle fritters, roasted Brussels sprouts, Asian sweet Chilli Cauliflower fritters , Vampire dip in sourdough bread, Margarita pizza, Cocktails - Spicy pineapple margarita & Espresso martini and the dessert-Apple blueberry crisps! Wonderful food & great service.

Pretty cool little spot down in the heart of Lakeside. More of an outdoor patio place, the inside was cool but not much indoor seating. Nice menu with a variety of food options, brunch menu on a Sunday was good too. Roasted Brussels sprouts and seasonal board to start, brunch breakfast tacos were solid, salad was a nice meal too.

Food is pretty good, service is always great (we love Jake and Chelsea!), and it is a cool atmosphere. The patio is a little cramped when it’s busy. Not overly family-friendly, but the exterior patio is dog-friendly. Good spot for happy hour as they have a lot on special.
