Anton's Meat & Eat

Excellent food, excellent service, very clean. I love mom and pop shops that give an authentic flavor from exotic places. I’ve never tried South African cuisine, but everything I tried was delicious. Anton is a hands on owner and puts customers first! You won’t be disappointed.

Top notch restaurant in it early stages of life. The food is fresh, delicious, hearty and the owner says its made daily. Definitely a great addition to Roanokes restaurants. Lastly the owner is very friendly and seems passionate about what hes doing. I really hope this place makes it.

My family of 5 came into Anton's close to closing time when Anton was about to stop cooking for the day. instead of turning us away, he welcomed us, and gave us royal treatment! Instead of ordering off the menu, Anton cooked and brought my family South African comfort food. Every dish he brought out for my family to try was absolutely DELICIOUS. Not only was his hospitality and costumer service impeccable; the food was amazing. We will definitely become regulars at this establishment. Thanks again Anton! Came for breakfast! More like a Starbucks/cafe vibe. It’s very different than a usual American breakfast. EAT THE SCONE with the jam and cheese on top. Trust me.. so good!!! Can’t wait to go for lunch. So happy there is something so unique in our town!

I am excited about the upcoming grand opening of this new restaurant. I’m really curious about African cuisine. The owner is a terrific guy. His goal is to serve comfort food for breakfast and lunch. I am hoping there will be some refreshing healthy vegetarian options as well. I will keep you posted as I learn more about this place.
