I ordered the the Prime Rib and Mash… it tasted really good… not sure if it was worth the price. The strawberry smash was great! Customer Service was ok but could have been better esp.
This place isn't worth it. We waited around 10 minutes just to be acknowledged. (The place wasn't busy). Definitely could be the low staff issue everywhere. We understand but I saw multiple people that didn't even acknowledge us. Coffee was cold and old. Our server Christine was very nice and attentive. The food was subpar and our sandwiches were cold and the cheese on the inside was cold and hard. The bacon was BURNT like the whole table smelled burnt. The place is very cute and the cornbread was good. The chicken and dumplings was quite good. There are some positives it's just not enough to come back.
Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Very courteous and accommodating. The “chicken” in the chicken and waffles entree were not good at all. Blocky freezer styled tenders, with no flavor and an after taste. The gravy was delicious, but not enough to offset the taste of those tenders. Ultimately ended up ordering something else. The waffles and bacon were pretty decent, I would say the best part of the entree. The sausage was along the same lines, no flavor. The eggs struggled in the flavor area as well, not sure if they use powdered eggs or what. The prices are decent, just need a little work with some of the key menu items. When one thinks of “down south”, you are expecting real down home cooking with boastful flavors that taste fresh out the kitchen cooked with love. You will definitely appreciate the ambiance and hopefully some of the other menu items, as there are some areas of opportunity for some of the breakfast items.
We went my birthday weekend 2/12/22. So glad we chose this place. We had chicken fried chicken, fried okra, mac & cheese; everything was seasoned well. Food could have been warmer. Corn bread & biscuits were delish! For Dessert the Butter Cake which melted in my mouth and Bourbon Pecan pie, heavy on the bourbon please! 2 thumbs up with a snap! We Will Be Back!
