Saltgrass Steak House

We have read a lot of good things about Salt Grass and wanted to try it. Sadly we are greatly disappointed. It took 90 minutes of sitting at our table (the food was very slow to get there and it was not busy in the restaurant). My husband had the 12 oz ribeye and said it was okay, but definitely not the best he has had or even in the top 10. I had the 6 oz fillet and it came out very rare and I had ordered it medium rare, so they cooked another one which had a lot of gristle (this was odd for fillet mignon). I did not even eat more than a couple of bites of the filet before I just gave up - it was hard to cut or chew. Both steaks were not very warm (the butter did not even melt on them). I order fillet every time I eat steak and this was just not up to par. The smoked Mac & Cheese was very good as well as the salad and the coffee. The bread was okay just a little dry. The waitress was nice and took my steak off of the bill. I don’t see us going to another Salt Grass in the future.

We had a party of 12. I made reservations the day before but had to call to modify the number in our party. I called about 30mins before our arrival time. Terrible I know…but it was a last minute adjustment.

They were so accommodating! He assured me it was no big deal and that they were already ready for us. He said we could even come earlier if we wanted to.

The service was quick and attentive. There was a few times we had to remind her of a request, but with such a large table it was to be expected.

Our orders were taken and barely any wait time between courses.

The food was hot and cooked to order.

Our sever was very pleasant and she made sure our kids were taken care of. We appreciated her patience as we asked her to repeat herself multiple times since it was pretty loud.

Overall, it was an enjoyable lunch for a reasonable price.

They stayed true to the reservation process. When we got there we were sat immediately, party of 5. The apps are pretty damn good, and they're not skimpy. The steaks are pretty well seasoned, juicy, and cooked how you order. The staff is attentive and didn't drop the ball once. Overall a great experience for an informal steakhouse. Great job

I love coming to this place during my trips to Odessa. Overall the food is really tasty, however I wish that my salmon was consistently cooked through-and-through. The ambience is always relaxing and the service is decent. Would recommend the shrimp and rattlesnake bites!

I used to go here for work Christmas parties and always loved it, so I finally went on a personal visit and it’s just so good! Whether you’re there with 40 people or two the service is always impeccable and the food never fails to be delicious! I definitely recommend the drinks as well!
