Used to be a very good little sandwich shop although as of late the service and quality have slipped.

This restaurant is located in what appears to be an historic gas station just west of the town square in Stephenville. It's a great conversion and preservation of a piece of history! It's only open for week-day lunches.

Parking and entrance are convenient and easy for wheelchair accessibility. The restroom, unfortunately, is woefully inadequate and does not meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

You order at the counter just inside the entrance, behind a counter with appealing desserts (brownies, cookies, chocolate muffins, etc.). A sign posted fresh lemonade and sweet peach tea.

The dining room was clean, neat, and well attended. Historic signs for motor oil, Texaco and Shell gas are nicely hung!

The food was excellent! We ordered the Tuesday special soups: red beans and cornbread, and tortilla soup. The person behind the counter slipped a second cornbread muffin for us! A treat! Both soups were hot and delicious! Hard to decide which one was better than the other.

Our sandwich choices were a smoked chicken wrap and tuna salad on a wheat roll; again hard to decide which was better! We had the chocolate muffin for dessert. It was as good or better than any brownie! The sweet peach tea was the best!! Full peach flavor not overpowered by strong tea. It was perfect! Next time we'll try the fresh lemonade.

The food was excellent. The service was great. The building was an excellent historic preservation converted to a restaurant. Wheelchair handicapped accessibility was excellent for entry and dining room. The restroom was not compliant with ADA requirements, however. Overall, we had an excellent lunch and will return for other lunch specials.

This place is the best!!!! Food is great, healthy, and affordable.

Staff is helpful, not necessarily super warm and fuzzy.

Overall, under rated!!! I will be back next time I'm in town.

P.S. I didn't eat one, but there truffles look AMAZING.
