Dos Tacos

Thank you, Dos Tacos, for choosing Katy to establish and open your doors and bring our community amazing tacos and all the other dishes on your menu. This visit? Street tacos and quesadillas with toppings and sauces! OMGosh! Loved the atmosphere, service with smiles and most of all, our dinner enjoyed at home. Can’t wait to return!

Tacos are ok, salsas could be better/more spicy. Agua de horchata is delicious but service can be a little slow - expect a 10/15 minutes wait for you to order as there’s only one cashier available to take orders; once done, tacos don’t take too long to get them.

I found this restaurant from a Facebook group, and honestly disappointed. This is my first time here.

I called the restaurant a few times around 2:30 after work, but no one answered the phone (# on google maps). Fine, I’ll go order in person… Parking was easy, and the restaurant was clean.

I ordered at the front, paid and left tip (to support new business even though it was a take out order), and sat down to wait for my food. They called out “ma’am, your food is ready”. I picked up the brown paper bag and left.

I got home, unpacked my take-out order and realized they didn’t give anything with the tacos. No lime, no sauce. The cashier didn’t even mention that I needed to grab it myself.
*from my memory, I can recall every time I do take out orders from a taco place, it always comes with lime and sauce, packed with my meal*

The tacos by itself were dry, I had to take a sip of water after every bite. There were barely any raw onion/cilantro. I’ve attached a picture.

This definitely was not a good experience.

We went for the soft opening and this place has taken the throne for best tacos in Houston / Katy. (Sorry taco truck in Katy) My family tried the al pastor taco’s, carnita taco’s, carne asada taco’s (yes ASADA!!! not FAJITA………) and the fish tacos. My family and I won’t need to drive to San Antonio any more for Mexican street taco’s. We can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. They have kid options as well.

Now this place is new so please be patient. Good food is not rushed. We waited no more than 10 minutes for the first round of tacos. They had a good amount of customers too. This is our new go to street taco establishment in Katy.

P.S. My wife really loved that they had fish taco’s that were good!

Nice and welcoming place. Super clean and neat! The food is amazing!! You must stop by and eat in or order to go. Delicious tacos and tortas. Well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The owner and staff are super friendly.
