Saltgrass Steak House

We stopped patronizing Saltgrass about a year ago even though it's only 2 miles away from home. However, this visit was exemplary. I only rated it a 3 because I'm cautious. The service from February 2019, was spot on. Everyone, not just our service person, but every staff member that passed by either asked if anything was needed, do we need a refill or can they pick up an empty plate. The food was delicious, as always.

The steak, mac and cheese and salad was very good. The sweet tea used to be good but it was weak tonight. That was disappointing to me. My waiter wasn't the best because he got two things wrong on our order. He did not listen well although he seemed nice. He also got my straw with his bear hands which I did not like. The straws need to have paper on them because this would be more sanitary.

Food - baby back ribs and 8 oz. prime rib were Texas mmmgood! Dessert we boxed what we couldn't finish because, well, it was Texas big. Pecan pudding topped with ice cream is a seasonal dessert, so get it when you can. Service was excellent and our server was most pleasant and and very professional indeed. Place is clean and neat.

Initial feelings upon coming in were not good. We waited for 15 minutes before we were greeted at our table. And that was only because I said something at that point, no telling how much longer it could have been. Thankfully Shawn picked up the slack, and gave us quick, efficient and overall great service! Food was excellent... everything was correct and tasted delicious. Thank you Shawn!! You're awesome!
