Found this lovely place near the house. Awesome service and amazing food. The bar food there is amazing ????
This was out first time ordering from Scholars & Scoundrels and the food was fantastic! the menu is unique and is a refreshing change from your basic fast food restaurants. We ordered the Cheat burger, the Bernie Mac, and the OG classic with fries, sweet potato fries and crack Mac n cheese and it was great! My son usually takes a while to finish his food but he quickly devoured the Bernie Mac n Cheese. He said it was deliciously messy. The service was also great and Trey was very nice. We will definitely be going back again! I have already referred some friends and family there.
The first time I went for lunch and the food and drinks were spot on. I talked my husband and son and daughter in law to go there before a concert on a Thursday night. It was steak night and three of us got steaks. Cooked just right and a good value for the price. But I had really bragged about the classic cocktails, and it was disappointing, the old fashioned came served in a glass full of ice instead of the large cube vault ice as stated on the menu. We decided to try the Manhattan. It came on ice as well even though the menu says stirred and served up in a coupe glass. We did send them back and our sweet waitress apologized and said they had a new person behind the bar. She brought the Manhattans back and they were just okay. They tasted like bourbon with some simple syrup and bitters. No vermouth at all. I don't know if I can get my husband to go back. If we do we will order beer. My daughter had a mule that was very good and my soon had a cucumber something martini that was also good and served correctly. If you want a great Manhattan, go to Perry's it is worth the money. The bartender at Azuma makes a great old fashioned.
On a last minute date-day while running errands we decided to stop by this place (right next to Tune Up, where husband gets his haircut). Little did we know it only opened last week! The food is delicious, quick service and great hospitality. Also neat thing: instead of the black book for your receipt most restaurants do...this place hands yours to you in an actual book!!!
