“We ate at Flippers Friday evening at about 7. This was our first visit. I want say up front that the food was very good, and our server, Marquis, was courteous ans cheerful. He provided great service. It was very busy when we arrived - the line was out the door. But there was nobody taking names, so it was kind of chaotic. They should put up a chalk board or a kiosk so people can sign in and see how many parties are ahead of them. The beer selection was poor - The only "local" brew they had was Shiner Bock, but they were out of that. How can a seafood place run out of Shiner on a Friday night? That is not good! They need to manage their inventory better, and also add a few local favorites from Saint Arnold's and Galveston Brewing. If they can get their beer inventory and customer logistics fixed, Flippers will be 5 stars. As it is, they get 3.”

“The waitress and the waiter we always get are always so friendly! The food is really great at midrange prices. Imagine if you had a mother was the best cook in Italian food and other ones in seafood, Mexican food, breakfast food, etc. and then you got them all together and they started a restaurant. This is what it feels like when we go there. We order different cuisines expecting at least one of them to be lackluster but that certainly isn't the case! Beautiful on the inside too - Great job all around!!!!”

“Great old school burger and ice cream joint. I had the Texas combo. The burger had a bit of everything in it; hamburger, sausage, cheese, onion ring, and bacon. It was a perfectly delicious mess of a creation and very satisfying. The combo came with an assortment of sides as well. Small portions of tots, fries, and onion rings. We came back a few days later for some generous scoops of Blue Bell ice cream. 100% clean plate on both visits.”

“I go here all the time with the kids ... it's more of a lunch spot for people than it is a play spot for kids, no play area but it is a good location and kept very clean. In the evening the homeless sit in there and they're quiet and easy going but take up sitting area which it's already small in there but they don't bother anyone it's just a little strange that they're just sitting in there.”
