The Original Mexican Cafe

This was our first stop in Galveston. Salsa is spicy but has amazing flavor. I ordered the tacos al pastor. I order them everywhere I go. They were good. Not the best I've had. But very good. Portions are huge and tasted very fresh. My husband liked his food as well and cleaned the whole plate!

I go to the Original every weekend for breakfast and I love it! It’s very inexpensive, the service is wonderful and the food is excellent! I highly recommend coming in if you’re ever in Galveston!

Uses to live in Tx, now I live in Minnesota. I've been starved for authenticity since I moved there five years ago!???? Visiting Galveston for a bit and decided on this place from the reviews. It did not disappoint! Food was amazing, staff was funny and had great attitudes! 10/10 want them to mail me food back home????

We ate here twice in two weeks. The food is great! The servers are friendly and helpful when you're not sure what to order. I'll definitely be back!

Awesome Mexican restaurant. This place is always a must visit establishment for me when I'm on the island. Food is always fresh and taste great. The staff here is the best. They are the nicest people. Parking is free but when they're busy you may have to park down the street and do a little walking. Definitely worth the extra few steps though.
