The location and atmosphere was great. The service staff was extremely helpful and super nice. The food however was lacking. I ordered the fish and chips and the fish batter was so hard that I had a difficult time cutting it to eat. I had to use a steak knife. The fries were all cold. This was our only time here but based on this meal it may be our last.

Have eaten here several times & loved it. We usually plan a trip to Fish Tales as a part of our Galveston visits. Was very cold on the patio, so they kindly moved us (and ultimately everyone else seated there) inside. Problem this time was spring break. They had more than they could handle. Angry customer required a visit from local law enforcement (he had been waiting 20 min to be seated, and was belligerent, even though his reservation wasn't for another 15 min.) Drunk guy beside us during dinner was standing (wobbly) in his chair trying to get a 'drone style' photo of his group, took a table visit from the mgr to get him down. Another teenager had to be almost carried out, too drunk to walk. As a result of the chaos, the service & food were not up to their usual standard. Opt for the coconut shrimp and avoid the fish & chips.

This is a typical tourist trap with a great location. The building itself is attractive, well themed and positioned nicely for views of the Pleasure Pier and the Gulf itself - depending on your table location. There is a nice upstairs patio that affords wonderful views. The food is decent, but not great. About what you would expect from a tourist oriented location on the water.

The drinks were priced well with average for a waterfront location. They were average in quality. The service leaves some or maybe more to be desired. It is what it is for what it is.

Great views. The food was excellent. Service was great. This was the first venue that I've had a biodegradable straw! Very important with them being next to the Gulf! I will stop back again!
