    We enjoy just walking out on the pier to enjoy the Gulf of Mexico breeze and beauty.

    Great fishing pier. all and all a great pier. Only two in galveston. Seen some awesome fish caught here

    I have fished here many times and fought some big fish. The tackle food an drinks are pricy but are available rather than going to get your own.
    WalMart has 10.00 fishing set for kids. There are blocks of wood to set on or bring your chair. You need UV protection. Bait is frozen or you can get your own at several places around town just google them. If 65 or older Mon-Thursday, pier cost 1.00. 2 poles per person max. I bring 3 use one to catch bait fish with for big rods but only 2 in water. Water for cleaning up equipment an not cleaning fish which I have seen people do. The operators have been friendly day or night.

    Didn't know what I was getting into... We decided to walk out towards the water on this concrete path we found but it was so foggy that we didn't know there was a building until we were closer. It was a pleasant surprise, and a great place to find a souvenir to purchase! Lots of birds around, which meant lots of bird droppings so don't touch the rails. Staff was very friendly and informative.

    If your looking for Fishing and Fun !!!
    Galveston's 61 st. Pier is the place to be.... A Charming little place to bring a date or to catch a fish. Fun Facts and a lot of things too do.
    The clerk was very respectful and also very helpful.
    It's a Great place to spend time with Family or Friends.
    It could be your weekend hangout.
