Katie's Seafood House

My fiancé and I enjoyed our dinner here. The food was AMAZING. And our server Peter C was very polite and very knowledgeable about the menu and the background about Katie's. They were also practicing great social distancing!

Amazing! They are just a block away from Pier 21. Every dish is fresh and prepares to perfection.

Great view on the water.

Service was the best we have had anywhere on the island.

Full bar with lots of specialty drinks. They can make basic drinks that are off the menu as well.

Even on a busy Saturday night, with COVID-19 requirements and social distancing we had the best service from Chris and Alex at the bar. The dark roux seafood gumbo would even impress my Cajun Nanny. The shrimp cocktail was superb. Giant portions. The showstopper was the fried oysters. Absolutely the best we’ve had. Katie’s is old school Galveston charm, service and quality. Definitely 5 stars!

Lets start with the good....amazing mac n cheese. Super fresh shrimp boil with great seasoning. The snapper throats were delicious. Never had them before but will more often now. Our bartender was awesome and made some great recommendations for 2 people who have never been.

The bad...crab cakes came out luke warm and cold in the center...my wife pulled out probably 5 pieces of shell between the 2...

Overall ill go back but think they can do better!
