Olympia the Grill at Pier 21

I have always enjoyed my visits to this place but our most recent one with the in-laws wasn't very pleasant. The Dolmas were cold as if they had been frozen. My partner had the veggie plate and it was just kind of a mess. My mother-in-law had the clam chowder which she did not like at all. It just wasn't off evening for some reason food-wise!

Excellent choice for the view and the food. Great atmosphere. The seafood was abundant and delicious, definitely more seafood on my pasta than I was expecting, but being from Missouri, we don't get fresh or abundant seafood no matter which restaurant you go to, so it was an extra nice change for me. It was nice to not have to figure out parking or pay and walk, they validate the ticket for the parking lot. Absolutely recommend!

This restaurant was very clean and nice. It had a good view and a nice patio area. But the prices were way too high for what you get. I ordered the chicken platter (which was $19.99) to share with another person and it was definitely not a platter, on my plate I had a pita flat bread with just barely enough chicken to fill the bread, a very very small serving of vegetables and an even smaller serving of sliced potatoes. Overall it was kinda disappointing. Also everything on my plate looked really tasty and well seasoned but it all tasted very bland and flavor less. I wouldn't go here again.

Food is good and view from the deck is a nice plus. Would have been a better experience if we had not experienced the "fake delay" as they called it. Lots of empty tables, but we were told there was a wait. Seems the kitchen was backed up so instead of seating us with an explanation, they made us stand outside. Poor choice!!

Best casual dining experience I've had in a long time. The staff made us feel right at home. Very good food and a pleasant view of the water.
