Ancora

Ancora is one of my favorite places... good people, good morning sic, good food!

Quaint Restaurant nestled in the old part of Kemah. Wonderful ambiance and great food. The variety of live music is outstanding. I recommend Ancora for a fun night out to all!!

This is a charming little restaurant. The prices are a little high, but this is a tourist area, so I’m sure things are at a premium.

The service is excellent and the food is memorable. I highly recommend the Mac and cheese. This needs to be an entree of its own. The crab cake is delicious.

The restaurant has daily specials and live music. This is a great place to make an evening of it.

The service was excellent and the food was very good. We went for our anniversary. It was pretty pricey IMO. We split a salad and dessert and each ordered a steak, which is the most expensive on the menu. It wasn't more than other nice restaurants. We just don't usually spend that much but It was a special occasion. It was right at $100 plus tip, no alcohol, just water.

Food was excellent and the Old Fashioned was too! I tried three of the small plates. The Honey Lime chicken was grilled well in bite sized morsels with a sauce that left me wanting more. The Steak was skewered and grilled again in morsels. It was accompanied with crispy fried onions and a mustard sauce that was awesome. I also loved the fried asparagus with crab. Being that I was having a splurge day, I enjoyed a Creme Brûlée as well. That was a cool food to try and it tasted really good too! The Old Fashioned was really cool! It was served to give a great accompaniment to the whiskey. But the best part is the single cube (And I do mean cube) of ice stamped with an 'A' logo. All of this was served by a friendly staff with Destiny behind the bar.
