“This Shell station us one of the ones you come across right after you come into the island. It's clean and staff is courteous and well trained on how to handle any situation. A storm knocked out the power and staff was on point, no missing a beat. There a good number if pumps all easily accessible and automated for convenience. Parking lot was clean considering the fast food restaurant attached as well as the bathrooms. Definitely a safe and welcomed gas choice.”

“This location has been open for one year now and I have been enjoying it many times but the variety of food that they have from southern food to Cajun style fries loaded fries Mexican food and just overall awesome hot sauces and condiments to go with your food everything is always fresh and made to order .the quality of food is great; the amount of food that you get it’s just as good. I just spoke to my friend Mariano, who has such a great demeanor cooked up some grilled and fried pork chops today and they were outstanding and sourced up to perfection. This is certainly a hidden gem in Texas City Texas a must stop if you were truly hungry. the tortas sold out this morning that is how good they are I had to settle for a hamburger bun but the top round beef that is used is so tender you don’t even need teeth to eat it with thank you again my friend for the great food keep up the great work and I wish you many more years of service to the community you have certainly put some weight on me over the last year lol”

Also had the Gumbo . All, the food was pretty good. The server was good, the atmosphere was pretty good. It's a small place but nice. We will try again.”

“My wife and I went for the first time tonight; and we had a great time! The manager even came by to introduce himself, and he made sure we were taken care of, so that was a nice feeling. The pool tables were great, and the drinks were pretty good despite the price. To be honest, the free pool, quality entertainment, and happy hour specials make up for the drink costs. Lastly we had one of the girls come by to sit with us, and she offered a private dance after properly introducing herself. The dance was amazing, and she did her best to break my wife out of her shell lol. All in all, we will definitely be back! Very fun, professional, and couples friendly.”

“I grew up in Santa Fe on our family's cattle ranch, and I remember my dad taking some of our steers up to Doreck's for processing. I always loved the way it smelled inside the store, especially the sausage! Unfortunately, I live up in the hill country now and hadn't been back down there in almost 16 years to experience that wonderful smell of spices & meat! I miss it so much and am very happy to see Doreck's is still open! It is, by far, the best meat market in Texas!!”

“GO HERE NOW!!! Their donuts when we visited were the best we have had in a decade, and we have had donuts all over the country and in Canada too. Their glazed cake donuts were perfection. The insides had the right amount of texture and were just moist enough. The outsides were glazed exactly right. AND, when we were finished, our fingers were not greasy at all. I then had a traditional chocolate glazed donut. While it was an hour or so old, I had no complaints. There was not an extra drop of grease. The chocolate while pedestrian was lovingly applied. The donut was carefully cooked. It was 5 star. My wife had the crème filled donut. We were stunned. Again, the crème was traditional, yet it was done beyond textbook, splendidly crafted. That donut though, wow. They attention that put to those goes beyond anything we see in and around Houston. Granted, they had no working bathroom, the dining area was worn thin, and the staff was tired or something, so much so they wouldn't even talk to any of the customers, no matter how much any of us in line tried to make small talk. Yet, we both agreed we would make the one hour trip again just for a $5 worth of donuts. We were there around 10:30 on a Friday on a school day. Thank you Dannay's Donuts!”
