The modern mixology-centric bar with interesting cocktails was a great surprise! The setting, servers, and hostess were fantastic, they were slammed when we got there, but they still managed to find us a perfect table by a window. Loved the food as well, the salmon appetizer was delicious, as were both of our main dishes. Really fun and fresh take on German food: cozy flavors with fresh and interesting presentation. Thanks guys!

First of all, this is not a traditional German restaurant. No schnitzel, spaetzle, sauerkraut, red cabbage, etc. Had to wait 45 minutes for a table then another hour for our entrees. My $39 steak was very good but I would have been happier with some schnitzel. Shame on me for not checking the menu before we went.

Don't skip over this place! Somewhat small dining and bar area, with an equally small menu. This makes for fast service and a quality meal. The atmosphere is very nice and all the employees are warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be back our next time in Fredericksburg.

What a wonderful German restaurant! It's a hidden jewel on Austin Street. I had the Hungarian goulash and It was very good! The place is an upscale place, a bit pricey, but oh so good! If you like blue cheese.. make sure to order the blue cheese cheesecake for dessert! It has a very subtle taste of blue cheese, but, so different from anything you've ever tasted! You will absolutely love it!!!

GREAT FOOD! Definitely more upscale German, but it's perfect for a good date, or an evening you want to get fancy. Service was great too -- only complaint is that we called twice to ask about getting our name on the list and got conflicting information each time. It's lucky we got there early so we didn't have to wait.
