Stopped here for dinner on my first night in Fredericksburg. My overall experience was positive and I would come back again.
I got the sausage sampler which included Bratwurst and Knackwurst and another type. My sides was sauerkraut and German potatoes. I enjoyed everything very much. German potatoes were on the sweeter side.
Service was a bit slow but the waitress was accommodating and trying her best. The restaurant seemed understaffed.
My advice would be to train the servers better about the beer selections. Our server didn't seem to know much to recommend anything.
Our group of five did not have to wait long for a table outside during dinner time on a Friday night. Once we were seated, it did take a while for a server to get to us. We only saw our server maybe five times total. The food and drinks were slow to come out. The food was great though!
Nice outdoor dining. We went as a group of eight and service was good. Loved the singer who was performing the day we were there (March 16) at lunchtime. I had a chicken caesar salad which was quite good. Note - there are bathrooms both inside and also outside. The lines can get long, so check both spots if one line is really long.
Great little restaurant. Although it was chilly, we sat on the outdoor patio and had lunch. There was a singer on stage and he was great. Food was good and so were the beers. Great atmosphere. Would definitely come back and suggest if you're looking for a nice low key place to eat.
Food was delicious! I ordered the Reuben and it had to be one of the best I've ever had. The restaurant itself was very nice and clean, I loved the decor. The service was great. There was a band playing outside the Saturday night we were there that in passing seemed really good, and not overwhelmingly loud, so you could still enjoy dinner conversation. I will definitely be going back to visit again.
