Grape Creek Vineyards

I have visited both the vineyard and tasting room. Both are fabulous! I visited the tasting room on Main St and everyone was so friendly, and Johna was fun and personable. She was well versed in the wines and gave us great recommendations! My group all left with a bottle and one of us joined the wine club. Overall a great TX winery!

As you are driving down 290 you suddenly notice that you seem to be approach what looks like a Tuscan Villa with a vineyard around it. A full parking lot tells you that this was a popular place. They are nicely organized inside with wine tastings and a bit of a sales pitch about their club. The wines are decent enough with a few standouts. The restaurant provides great food and the space is perfect for enjoying the weather and wine in very pleasant surroundings.

Visited Grape Creek for the first time - great experience. Everyone was super friendly and Rich described the samples very accurately. Every wine we sampled was so nice - we couldn't walk away without joining the club. Definitely plan on going again and introducing some friends to Grape Creek ... and to pick up our wine case.

We did a wine tasting here 6 wines of our choice though one of my choices was not available. The measures were very small we have been to maybe 8 or 9 wineries in California where the measures were a lot better as were the wines. Out of the 6 wines I tried only 1 was a decent wine the other 3 members of our group thought the same about their choice too. There are better wineries close by. Just read the reply and would like to say that all 4 in our group found only 1 decent wine in their choice of 6 wines thats maybe 14 different wines in total. I'm glad you've won awards for your wine but none of the wines we drank won any awards. Maybe it would be a good idea to serve some of these wines to potential customers.

The tour with Jason was great! We enjoyed listening to the history of the property and how the wine is made. The tasting with Rich was awesome! He was funny, personable and very informative. 5 stars for Jason and Rich!!

The only reason I gave our visit as a whole 3 stars was because I didn’t feel welcomed by the staff in the lobby. When we were trying to figure out where to get our tickets, we were looked at like we didn’t belong there. He asked what my name was, gave me an envelope and walked away. No enjoy your visit, thank you for coming, nothing! I stood there and said “excuse me” 3 times before anyone responded. We were given no direction where to go for the tour. This was our first time here and we had no clue. We were finally told where to go and turned away again. As much as I loved the wine and the tour, first impressions are very important and customer service is everything to me. I will most likely not return to this winery for this reason.
