Inwood Estates Vineyards Winery & Bistro

I have been going to the Texas Hill country for wine tasting semi-monthly over the past 6 years. I have passed Inwood many times. I was invited by a fellow wine lover yesterday to their pick-up party. Let's just say I left a member, and am reevaluating my other memberships now. This is the best wine in the hill country! If you love wine, I mean really love wine, do yourself a favor and have a tasting. It was eye opening. Cathy was our wine host, and was amazing. We can't wait to go back! thanks

This was our first stop on the 290 wine trail on a Saturday, and so we only bought 2 bottles of our favorite from the tasting thinking we would end up buying several more from the other stops. The other wines we tried throughout the day did not compare to this wine so we couldn't bring ourselves to buy any other wine. In hindsight we should have bought more from Inwood! The wine tour was still fun, but stopping here first certainly set the bar way too high for any other place to reach. The gentleman who poured our tastings was also a huge part of what made this our favorite stop. We really enjoyed hearing the details of each wine and the wonderful back story of the owner and how he created this place.

Looking for a bite after visiting the LBJ State Park and saw this winery, stid they had "great eats". The menu is limited and we had the chicken salad and a broccoli salad side. Both were very good and hit the spot. Then we did a wine tasting with Cathy. She was very informative and spent a good amount of time with us answering questions.
