I wanted to post a food pic but it looked so good I couldn't stop. I will be back with my relatives. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.
The cabin was great! Well appointed and comfortable. The warm breakfast in the picnic basket at the door the next morning was awesome. We stayed over on a Sunday evening and with the restaurant being closed for the day we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Only saw other guest as they were arriving at or leaving their cabins. The grounds are well maintained with multiple really nice options for sitting out to enjoy the evening(fire pit and s’mores included). I imagine there is much more traffic in the common areas on days/evenings that the restaurant is open. We will go back maybe this time to stay one night so we can experience the restaurant but for sure with one night where we are without restaurant guest.
I stayed at this quaint property a few weeks ago. It’s the perfect weekend getaway spot. The property is about 4 hours outside of Houston. There are multiple cabins on the property and one big cabin that can accommodate large groups. I stayed in the Pedernales Cabin. The cabins on the property give you a rustic feel with modern designs in areas such as the kitchen and bathroom. The front of the Pedernales Cabin came with a patio swing and sitting area for outside dining. According to the staff at The Cotton Gin Village, each of the seven cabins has been thoughtfully appointed with authentic touches such as tin ceilings, wood-burning fireplaces, and log-framed beds. I had warm cookies waiting for me when I arrived along with a few special ingredients to make smores using the fireplace inside the cabin. Everything was nice. In the morning, they also have a hot breakfast basket waiting for you at the front door.
Done right in every way. Loved the log cabin, the breakfast provided from the German bakeries and the fire pit. I was to have a negative, the restaurant was just ok. But otherwise we loved our stay for our anniversary!
The food is fantastic. The entire surroundings are beautiful. The water feature and fire pit are good at separating the b&B's from the restaurant. The desserts are kinda weird. Like they're trying too hard kinda. We've eaten here three times and never really like the desserts cause they're almost too complicated. Overall, as locals it's our favorite nice restaurant in town.
