Authentic and delicious!! Owners provide excellent service! We will be back.
This restaurant and staff is some of the best food and service we ever had. We were visiting Kilgore for the day and just so happened upon this lovely place. I love the atmosphere too. The husband and wife was more than welcoming and so kind! We have a restaurant similar in Shreveport but it doesn't compare with Brigitta's. We all cleaned our plates :) Thank you so much for a amazing experience and we will definitely be back soon
A real cozy restaurant to come and have a nice home cooked meal. The owner was very friendly and took his time to explain the menu to us and gave us a description of each item. I ordered the stuffed cabbage and while it did look a bit small, it was very filling. Overall, i was very satisfied with my meal and would definitely come back to eat here again.
First time eating Hungarian food and overall it was really good. I've probably driven past this place a hundred times and just never noticed it.
What I liked
- Food was obviously fresh and homemade. You can tell they put pride in the food they put out. Everything was well seasoned.
- Very friendly people
- Very fast service
What could be better
- I looked at the menu online before coming and most of the things I saw that I wanted to try they didn't have today including something the menu said they have Wednesday through Saturday. A few more options on the menu would be nice.
- I really wish they had fountain drinks.
Price seemed on the high end for lunch but the quality was definitely there. Saw reviews complaining about the paper plates and plastic utensils but that really wasn't an issue for me. I think if there were a few more options I would have found something better suited for lunch for me personally. Perhaps if they posted on their website or online somewhere what they were offering menu wise that was accurate that would be a big plus.
Overall though you should try this place out.
We just ate here for the first time and it was delicious! I had the stuffed cabbage and was not disappointed. The owners are very nice. The food is all homemade. The restaurant is clean and very nice. We look forward to eating here again soon!
