We are from New York and traveling in Texas.
We wanted to expirience some traditional Texas BBQ, stopped by at this place.
Food is delicious and prices are great, awesome place.
Excellent Texas BBQ!! Cute outdoor location!
Outstanding turkey; well above average brisket. We had the three meat plate and left stuffed and happy. Plus there was a digger and rocks to keep the kids happy while we ate! Super friendly staff too!
Excellent barbecue from this trailer along the main drag in Hico. The quality here is very consistent and meats (brisket, sausage, turkey, ribs) are superb. Sides (potato salad, pinto beans, coleslaw, smoked mac and cheese) are prepared in house and are terrific. Chips are also available, but the mac and cheese is not to be missed. Homemade bread/buns are frequently offered. Tea, soda and water are offered for sale, as well. Prices are very reasonable, particularly given meat prices as of the date of this review. Two meat plates with two sides are just $12. The Tiger (all four meats with two sides) is a bargain at $14. Dining "in" is available under a canopy and shade trees adjoining the trailer's walk-up window. Parking is available along the two bordering streets, but Hico is small and an easy walk from anywhere in the main part of town.
I had the three meat plate with ribs, brisket, sausage, potato salad, and beans. I also had a slice of the homemade bread and some of the homemade pickles. The meats were smoked to perfection, all the homemade sides were phenomenal, and the service was top notch. I would highly recommend Po Campo BBQ.
P.S. I had already eaten most of the pickles off of my plate before taking the photo. Those things were good!
