“We were passing through Sour Lake looking for a lunch place. In all our trips through I had never noticed Fesco's. It was like coming home after years away. The staff were warmly friendly and there was a upbeat attitude in the place as they interacted across the room with diners. It was obvious they knew just about everyone be name. We opted for the "buffet" which wasn't so much a serving place that you keep going back to. Rather it was one dish to get you started as they prepared dishes for you until you were full. I could eat the catfish every day of my life and not get tired of it. The cheese cake was a surprise -- closer to a real pie with the cheesy filling stuffed into thick homemade pie crust top and bottom and full of homemade taste. I guess we will adjust our trips to always get us in Sour Lake at lunch.”
