“So, we have tried the chicken and sausage gumbo everywhere that serves it close by our new house and so far Reel Cajun in Lumberton has the best. The others were good and I will eat them again but this was the best tonight. The roux was not too dark and the flavors we're explosive and heat would build nicely. I also had the Garlic noodles and shrimp and Carla had grilled fish tacos. All of it was excellent. I highly recommend you try it.”

Our waitress was super nice and very attentive to what we needed. The place was clean. The only reason for the one star is the front man. He seated us and cashed us out. He was very bland and just didn't seem to want to be there almost like we was a bother to him. I'm sorry but if your going to be the face of the company that everyone sees then you need to be a bit more peachy. If you have something going on in your personal life then let someone else do your job for the day/night because we all have bad times and need a break. If your in the area and like Italian food then definitely try them out because it really is good stuff!”

“I was stunned and elated to find a Schlotzsky's in Texas. The last such eatery in Edina, MN closed some 10 years ago with. O explanation of why. If anything, Schlotzsky's has become a formidable premier sandwich restaurant, leaving similar food fares in the dust. “We were passing through Sour Lake looking for a lunch place. In all our trips through I had never noticed Fesco's. It was like coming home after years away. The staff were warmly friendly and there was a upbeat attitude in the place as they interacted across the room with diners. It was obvious they knew just about everyone be name. We opted for the "buffet" which wasn't so much a serving place that you keep going back to. Rather it was one dish to get you started as they prepared dishes for you until you were full. I could eat the catfish every day of my life and not get tired of it. The cheese cake was a surprise -- closer to a real pie with the cheesy filling stuffed into thick homemade pie crust top and bottom and full of homemade taste. I guess we will adjust our trips to always get us in Sour Lake at lunch.”
