King of India

We tried this new Indian restaurant in Cypress for lunch today. We arrived at 11:30 am and were the first guests to arrive. Another family arrived around 12 and we could hear the phone ringing for take out orders. The owner Channi came and talked to us and was manning the front of the house solo.
We ordered Mixed meat and fish starter plate and Mango Lassi. It came with tandoori chicken tikka, chicken and lamb shush kebabs and fish tikka and 3 chutneys. Everything was delicious.
For main course we ordered Chicken King of India special, Goat tikka masala and Malai kofta curry. All came with basmati rice and we got some butter naan. All dishes were fragrant and not too spicy. We really enjoyed the food.
The ambiance was very nice and even restrooms were very clean.
Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Felt very welcoming and it smells delicious when you walk in! We weren’t sure what to order, so our waiter kindly got our preferences and brought us his selections. Everything we ate was flavorful, the meat was tender, and all of our food was plated beautifully. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will definitely be going back!

The restaurant was really beautiful inside. The customer service was great. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and King of India Special Apple Chorle (which was like a sparkling apple juice). My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Tikka Tandoori. It was all very flavorful. Then, for dessert, I ordered the Gulab Jamun which was very moist. It had coconut flakes on top that gave it an extra kick of sweetness. We will definitely be back. The staff made us feel welcome and the prices were very reasonable.

Very happy an Indian restaurant has opened up in Cypress! The owner has another restaurant in another location and he’s very friendly. The food has a nice Punjabi touch to it. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, the Lamb Curry, and the Meat platter. I throughly enjoyed the platter as there was a nice medley of meats to try from. The other dishes tasted scrumptious as well. The service was on the slower side but I am sure once the restaurant picks up service will get better.
