Took my son today for his birthday lunch. It was a beautiful day they have a beautiful outdoor patio. We were promptly greeted and sat, the inside was very simple but very cute and clean.
Anthony was our waiter, despite not feeling 100% he was very friendly, informative and prompt. Never being their before he gave us the pointers explained their pizzas. We kept it simple. A 16 inch pepperoni half green olives. Which the cheese 16 inch was on special for $10. Came out quickly, hot severed with a spatula for serving. I manage an Italian restaurant. The pizza seemed to me more authentic Italian style vs new york style, which is what most people are familiar with. It was very different but still good. Brick oven cooked as well. Not the best pizza I've had but for the price it was all very good.
Grimaldi's has some good pizza that you can customize with various options. The staff is very attentive and polite. They are known for their pizzas but they also serve other foods if I am not mistaken. They have outdoor seating options if you prefer the outside over being inside. They cook their pizzas in a brick oven and they taste great. They are known for their pizzas, but they serve other foods if I'm not mistaken. It is a little expensive, but this is a great place to go if you are wanting some pizza.
Brick oven pizza. Fresh ingredients, homemade sauce with tomatoes imported from Italy, and in-house made desserts. If you like pizza with a thin crust and a crisp bite, this is the place for you! All of the toppings tasted natural and fresh, and the pizza came out immediately and hot. I had the pleasure of my server giving me the background of Grimaldi's, along with being able to make recommendations. The Don is a good choice for meat eaters (which I typically would've chosen, but decided the build your own option). I recommend going with one of the chef's signature/specialty pizzas, or if you build your own, be aware there's a charge for each topping. Grimaldi's has both traditional and gourmet toppings.
Pizza was delicious. Fresh ingredients and atmosphere was cool. It was a little pricey but worth it. Service was great. Very courteous and informative about the menu. Definitely going back.
Great pizza. I had the Brooklyn bridge pie. I really love pizzas that don't rely on mozzarella (so bland!) And this one didn't disappoint. Definitely a more formal atmosphere than Grimaldi's in Brooklyn, but the pizza was great and the price was right.
