Hickory Hollow Restaurant and Catering

The chicken fried steak was huge !!!! I was recommended this place by a friend who saw it on the food network. You literally could split this between 3 people. The gravy that is on top of the steak and mashed potatoes is wonderful. The only thing I feel that can be better is more sides. With the amount of steak that you get, it was not enough to go along with the main course.

I give it 3 stars for the portions and for the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. The service is great and the staff is really nice. The business is very clean including the bathrooms.The portion of food are large. The chopped beef sandwich was good.The rest of the food my family wasn't to impressed the chicken fried steak tasted like pure oil the macaroni and cheese was watery the coleslaw had no flavor and my daughter said the mash potatoes tasted bland. It may have just been a bad day for them.

We really like this place, just the atmosphere I guess. because Rudy's BBQ is so much better, but this place is much more fun. hickory hollow has a very family-friendly atmosphere, so we will definitely go back again. And the prices are pretty decent. I had the chicken fried catfish and I loved it. When I go back, I will have that again.

We've been going to Hickory Hollow as long as I can remember & I can't say I've ever been disappointed in the food, portions, sides, desserts or service. Though we're sad there's only one location now luckily it's not far from our house so we can get there early to grab a seat and enjoy. Very popular on weekends but service is fast getting food out. Also love the help yourself style bread and sauce on the side. Love it!

Great food! I have to say I had the best chicken fried steak from Hickory Hollow. It was both crispy and tender at the same time and was packed with flavor. The Hot Tots are one of my favorite things from here! Give them a try if you like a small kick in a potato puff.
