Black Hole Coffee House

I left Houston due to hurricane Harvey after living in Montrose for many years, and the Black Hole is one of the few places I miss. I now live in the Pacific Northwest full of wonderful cafes and coffee houses, but the Black Hole is still the best. Warm and friendly staff, transcendental music, obviously great coffee, super-tasty vegan food options, and never-to-be-bettered people watching. So many fond memories of hanging out with friends here. I hope to God this place never falls victim to inner Houston's gentrification. Whenever I return for a visit, the Black Hole will be my base of operations!

Great coffee, great atmosphere! I travel 30 minutes just to check my emails etc.. love it. The name is amazing too.

Not for me. Stopped in for a quick flat white. Hi ratings probably from those living nearby, sit around locally with friends/social gathering.

Coffee bar was gross and dirty while not a busy time. I can get better coffee's around the corner... even make better at home.

Great place. The coffee is good and the food is great. There are plenty of places to sit and study, with plugs and everything you need. The chairs are pretty comfy, and not grumgy like most hipster coffee places. There is some nice art on the walls. Overall a good experience and atmosphere

Great location for delicious Cafe food. Went there on a Saturday. I will be bringing family next time. The prices are well within reason for the quality. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I loved.
