Grimaldi's Pizzeria

We often eat the weekend at Grimaldi's and we love their pizzas. Their pizza is good and the staff is very friendly. I like their desserts especially the tiramisu. Test it, it's too good. I take it all the time every time I go there to eat with my husband and my daughter.

Pretty good pizza and salad. I've been to other Grimaldi's locations before, and this location once before, too, and have had good experiences. If it were only today's experience, I'd give it fewer stars, but it's usually good.

Today, we arrived past 9pm on a Saturday. I mean it was a normal amount of busy. Not packed by any stretch of the imagination, but definitely were customers there. Maybe half the restaurant was still full. We were seated and waited a good bit before a waiter even came to get our drink orders. We ordered the seasonal special pizza (prosciutto and arugula) which had good flavor but the cheese was a little tough. The waiter eventually came with our check, and after a while, came to get our coupon (birthday!), and then when he came back with our modified bill, wished us a good evening and a happy birthday, and then went off. So then my husband out this cc in the folio, and we eventually had to flag someone else down to close out our check. We thought out waiter had left but he was probably just doing his close out chores.

I think today's experience was just frustrating because our waiter was slow. He was still polite and helpful and everything, just not great at juggling multiple tables.

The pizza pretty good except the crust was not made for lots of toppings. The pizza was a little wet with vegetable juices. The tastes pretty good. It was a little better the next day. The service was slow and we had about 3 different servers. Our first server didn't tell us she was leaving. Sigh. I would not try this place again because there are so many food options in Citycentre.
