Finally made it City Cellars for brunch this past weekend, even though it’s just up the street. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. All of our food was delicious with great brunch cocktails. The chef kindly & generously made some off the menu pancakes for the kids unprompted, which were also delicious. We’ll definitely be returning to sample the dinner options.
I was pleasantly surprised when I went here for the first time a few weeks ago for dinner. The atmosphere is quaint with an artistic flair. Cozy yet stylish and upbeat. Great lighting I too must say. Super friendly and accommodating staff. The menu was filled with delightful choices that simply reading made my mouth water in anticipation. I chose fried green tomatoes as my appetizer, salmon as the main course and the house made poached pear with ice cream for dessert. Absolutely delicious food that made me want more... If my tummy was bigger I would’ve kept ordering food lol. I simply must go back and often to try all the things... Kudos to the Chef! Definitely will be back and next time with friends. Check this place out y’all!
Every dish was delivered flawlessly. Brussels Sprouts and fried green tomatoes to start. Absolutely perfectly cooked NY Strip that was rounded out with the house made poached pear. The staff is friendly. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food is delicious. If the word gets out, reservations will be recommended soon if not already. A true Houston gem!
This place is amazing!!! We accidentally booked a reservation on a day they weren’t open and the owner offered us a free bottle of champagne to reschedule. They have a heated patio and it was like ~30 degrees when were out there so they also offered us free hot chocolate. The food was to die for and the service was amazing. The waiter took pictures in both portrait and normal mode without us asking. The owner took the time to explain why the charcuterie boards are named after parts of Houston. You can tell he truly cares about his restaurant and customers. Would recommend this place to anyone!
The restaurant is very cute and perfect atmosphere for a date night or just a nice family meal. The owner/chef as well as his staff nice energy and make you feel welcomed. We had the Bayou chicken, rodeo flat bread, macaroni balls, Cobb salad and last but not least “ bread pudding” all of which were excellent and I’m not typically a dessert person. The chef even recommended a wine when he realized my first selection wasn’t available, it paired perfectly with everything. Definitely coming back.
