Empire Café

We always enjoy the food and ambience here. Many great food, beverage, and bakery options. I give three stars for three reasons.
1. I don't understand the strategy of using glasses (supposed to be for an iced drink or water) for containing hot drink or latte.
2. I love the pet-friendly patio where I can bring my dog with me. However, if I understand correctly pets are not allowed inside (?) I saw customers bring their big dogs inside (when in line for ordering) before many times (no, they are not service animals). No one seemed to be enforcing the rule. I brought in my little dog once, and I was asked to move my dog out. I don't want to argue if it's the rule here. But, please enforce the rules fairly and evenly :) so, no one feel bad about it or no one feel privileged that they can bring/sneak their dog inside.
3. On the back patio where smokers can hang out, there are lots and lots of cigarette butts around the area with pebbles/rocks though you have ashtrays. If you could clean up that would make the place more charming.

I will absolutely be returning to this place again. Not only was there a wide variety of food to choose from, the plate I got was absolutely delicious. It was so good! The staff is so friendly, and it seems like there’s a community there, or at least there’s a community feel - which is always fun. The atmosphere was relaxed, the chill vibe inside and outside was very enjoyable. I really, really enjoyed this place. I give my highest recommendation and hope to eat here again soon!

This restaurant has that small business feel that makes you feel like it is special and one of a kind. I love coming to this restaurant for breakfast with my wife whenever I have a free Saturday morning. They have excellent selection of coffee drinks that rivals Starbucks. The environment is so inviting and refreshing. The menu does change which I like. It is like a new adventure when they change up their menu items. They have a display of what the main dishes of the day look like so you can get an idea of what the plate looks like before buying.

I’m concerned they use STYROFOAM cups as to-go cups for hot beverages. Bad for environment & bad for health.

If you have sensitive palette you’d know it also affects the taste of beverage.

Friendly service & coffee taste great.

I hope they make more mindful & sustainable changes regarding the cup. Otherwise I would suggest you bring your own to go cup!

I enjoy coming here because of the great and fast service. There aren’t many cafes that have great food and coffee. Empire certainly does a great job at thus. The outdoor seating is very cozy!
