Katz's in the Heights

The service: I had the pleasure of being waited on by Lou Ann. She was very attentive and came to the table often to check up. She took the time to answer all questions and made recommendations on the food. The fact that she is a very beautiful lady makes her a popular and sought after waitress, so her tables are often full.

The food: The food is delicious and comes out hot. The wait time for the food is a little longer than I prefer but it's reasonable. The prices are slightly above average but nothing that will break the bank. I don't like the fact that they don't have paper menus, and you have to download it on your phone to see what they have.

The atmosphere: Cozy inside dinning room with plenty of outside patio seating. The place is well presented, appropriate for the up and coming Heights crowd. Full bar available, with large TV's showing sports games.

Top notch service that Katz's has been known for and the best quality ingredients. I was delighted to visit this new gorgeous location! The managers Donte and Peace were so wonderful when checking in on our group to ensure everything was correct and delicious!

It is more than just a traditional jewish deli,
It is all that. Excellent pastrami, although I picked pastami and corn beef on rye, highly recommnded, but my favorite is the knish. Coming from the New York City I know what a good knish is and have been missing it. This is a GREAT knish.
They also have a lot more comtemporary dishes, drinks etc, it is also a bar, but I have been missing my New York fare. This takes care of my needs.
