Fast, HUGE helping of the BBQ beef I got which is awesome!! You get your money's worth and so far L&L is the closest I've ever gotten to how actual Hawaiian food tastes from a restaurant.
This place is pretty legit coming from an islander. They aren't stingy with their portions either. I wonder if its owned by a local? I love my chicken katsu and coworker trying local line grinds forge first time had to get him the BBQ Mix plate!
My new favorite place in Houston! The BBQ plate is big enough for two meals and the chicken katsu musubi is the perfect amount of rice and crunch.
Not AMAZING, but for the price it's really great food. My wife got the BBQ cheeseburger and loved it. I asked how much she thought it cost and she said $12 to $15. Nope! $3.99. I got the BBQ mix, which was delicious and gave me a food coma. I see others knocking off points in their reviews, but when you consider what you get - tasty, quality food, and lots of it - and how reasonably priced it is, I can't find anything to complain about.
Portions were generous making the prices a great deal. The chicken was really good. Cheeseburger was very filling and cooked well. I knocked a star off the rating because they waited until after I ordered and paid for a combo meal to tell me they were out of fries. So we got microwaved cauliflower and carrots instead of fries... kid was not happy and I don't blame her.
