Great food and hospitality. It’s a perfect date night spot although it’s a little crowded inside. But the food is great! I always wanted to try the chocolate infused fettuccine and they had it.
My wife and I stopped in for lunch today and had a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic and the service was great. It was a birthday lunch we will never forget.
We enjoyed dinner with friends at Roma on Saturday. The atmosphere was quaint in a small house in Rice Village. My wife and I enjoyed the bacon wrapped monk fish. The waiter was attentive, and overall it was a great experience. I would recommend trying out Roma.
Meeting the owner Shannon was wonderful he guided us to the bar And he made us a drink before we Went out and ate
on the patio. We waited about 5 minutes for server to come. We inadvertently heard that the area we were sitting and did not have a signed waiters as we went to our seats. But lovely Felipa came to our rescue. She was absolute wonderful she apologize for the wait she brought us our glasses of wine and took really good care of us. I think had we had to wait 5 more minutes we would have paid our tab and left. Not sure I understand how you could have 5 tables in the corner of the outdoor patio and not have assigned servers to them we were the only ones that seemed they had to wait for someone to come and help them out. Another the veal shank was really spicy and good. I would say that the lamb shank was just average and fact I felt it a little salty with not a whole lot of flavor even though you got a very large portion. The ambience on the patio is really nice in the early evening with no humidity and clear skies. I think if it wasn't for Felipa I don't think I would return. Hopefully the manager and ever be else will take notice of this review and make things better .I did read other reviews where they said the service and the servers were marginal at best.
I was attending an Italian Chamber of Commerce event on last evening at your venue. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The weather was so beautiful I opted to sit outside on the patio. I was fortunate enough to meet a wonderful gentleman by the name of Massimo. He was extremely polite and took care of me and guests with a smile. With Houston being a melting pot of restaurant choices I am a strong advocate for pristine customer service and it's employees like Massimo that make a business stand out from others. I will definitely return and tell others about Roma.
