I'll go ahead and preface this with the fact that that they have amazing lunches - I've never been disappointed with their food. And I've had cookies which were good, too. That being said, I've had two out of two bad experiences with the cakes. The first one was several years ago - we ordered a custom cake for a retirement party which was kind of a big deal for our company. It was delivered and we realized it had a misspelled word as soon as the driver left. When we called, they couldn't do anything about it and weren't really willing to credit us much. Basically too bad, so sad. It did taste amazing though, so that's the memory I went off for my next purchase. I also bought a wedding cake because honestly I figured that the first cake mess up was a one off. I was supposed to have a wedding but it got rescheduled and I completely forgot to cancel the cake, so my bad. I had called on a Thursday night, but I think they had all gone home for the day because no answer. They called me the next morning, a day before the original wedding date, and said I still had a balance so I asked them if I could just have a credit from the deposit and the lady said yes. Great! Except she called me back and said it had already been made so I still had to pay for it. No big deal. I picked it up and paid for it anyway because who doesn't love cake and it was really my fault for not calling them earlier. It wasn't really what I expected, though. It tasted like it had been sitting in a refrigerator for an entire day already... think onions. The inside was good, but the outside was a little lackluster in looks as well. It was supposed to be a navy blue fondant, but was a royal blue buttercream. I guess they also put a bead of frosting between the first and second layer, but it was kind of sloppy. I'm kind of glad now that my wedding date got changed since this would have seriously upset me. If I had hired a friend maybe, sure, but I paid $400 for a fairly
simple cake design and it didn't really meet my expectations.

This is a good spot. Sometimes quirky. Recent change to have to order at table vs counter and linen napkins takes away from the original comfort feel and stuffy now. I suggest going back to the relaxed vibes vs upscale-ish.

A preferred spot for tasty cafe food. Super savory. Nothing but pleasant experiences here. It has a great atmosphere.

Fine location for delicious Cafe food. Nothing to complain about. I had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here.
