My husband and I live two blocks from here and it’s our favorite place to go. They care about the quality of their pizza and it never disappoints. The vibes are very cozy and chill plus they treat everyone with so much kindness. You are missing out if you haven’t been before!

This place is phenomenal!!! Best pizza we have had in the whole city!!! The service is amazing (thank you for bringing us the delicious Tiramisu to try!) and this is seriously some of the best pizza you will find in Houston! Such a fun and funky little joint where you can grab a bottle of wine off the shelf and get a ridiculously good, wood fired pizza and just relax in a fun and laid back atmosphere! This is probably going to be one of our new hangouts to bring friends and cant wait to tell others about how wonderful it is!!! Thank you for such a great experience and we cannot wait to tell others and bring folks here!

It took me a long time to find a human that I love as much as I love pizza. Wedding planning was coming to a close and it was only a day before the festivities were to start. I gave a desperate call to the kind people of Gypsy Poet-- I needed pizza, and I needed it FAST.

I told them my husband and I had gone to Gypsy Poet right after we got engaged with family and friends and they surprised us with a free dessert pizza!

Not only does this place make SPECTACULAR pizza, but it has a real soul and love for its patrons. These people enjoy what they do, and they do it well. If you have any feelings for pizza, I highly suggest you drop everything and get yourself some Gypsy Poet pizza NOW!

This small family run pizzeria is a perfect delight. Everyone is treated as part of the family! The crust is divine, prepared in a marvelous brick oven. The regular menu is limited, but they cheerfully prepare any combination you care to craft yourself, as long as they have the ingredients. A cupboard full of games makes meal time more fun, and during non- pandemic times they provide live music much of the time. Beautiful outdoor seating area stays shaded during dinner as the building faces eastward. As a bonus, the fridge is stocked with a lovely selection of beer and wine. Don't be afraid to drive in midtown - free parking is provided next door, usually with security, and street parking is still free as well (in September 2020, always subject to change at the whims of the city, of course).
