Turkey Leg Hut

First time there and I had a great time with my guests. Our waitress was wonderful I hate I didn’t remember he name. I paid $10 to park my car I guess it was not that bad. Our food was good and we received it in a timely manner we had a big party (20) Good was great atmosphere lovely just need a few more fans outside for this TEXAS humidity. We went between 8-9 so it wasn’t to bad. We had a great time!

My daughter turned me onto this place. Busy! We didn't have to wait extremely long to be seated. But, be prepared to wait on the food. My daughter and I waited about 30 minutes or so. Victoria, our waitress was great. After the wait, the food was amazing, well worth the price and wait. I had the fried catfish and gumbo, my daughter had the stuffed turkey leg (stuffed with dirty rice and turkey). The was full of gulf shrimp, turkey, crab, etc. Delicious! Only complaint would be that the catfish was not hot and fresh, maybe it was cooked before the other food was prepared, seasoned well, though. Small gumbo was enough for two, and it made for a good late night snack. Overall I was very pleased. Unfortunately I have to wait until my next trip from Dallas. Great menu.

Turkey Leg hut has always been one of my favorites but there are cons. We arrived at the door (they didn't have a line like normal, I'd usually have to wait at least 30 minutes just to be sat) we stopped at the post where it states to wait. 15 minutes had went by with a multitude of waitress passing without even noticing. Finally the host gets back to seat us around the 18 minute mark. When we are sat, we look at the menu, already knowing that we came for the crab boil. After being sat I noticed that we still hadn't been approached by a waitress after another 15 minutes of waiting at the table, for a total of 33 minutes elapsed since arrival, reminder they are not that busy. The waitress comes to the table brings waters and said " I'll be right with you " great, more waiting ????. She comes back to the table about 10 minutes later (we're at 43 minutes now ) we order the crab boil and a drink. I asked the waitress if they had everything that goes in the crab boil she assured me they did except for eggs. It included ( crab, shrimp, turkey necks, corn & potatoes for 45$ special) she bring back the drinks about 15 minutes later, ( we're at an hour now ). I drink m my drink while I wait. The waitress comes back 25 minutes later witch basically what was left of the crab boil, which was basically just crab only, now mind you they don't reduce the price when everything is gone so I sent it back paid for my drink and went to prospect park for oxtails. An hour and a half wait for absolutely nothing. I love turkey leg hut but they're service has to be improved. I had to write a review because i noticed how there are flaws in the service every time i visit GREAT food ???????? bad service ????????

My food was good...
Not Delicious...
But good...
Nice Portion....

Because they have inside/outside seating the door was constantly being opened which let flies in....

The straws are not in paper which they should be because the severs are in and out touching things & they are not sanitizing they hands so PLEASE DON'T TOUCH MY STRAW.....

I asked for plastic utensils because my fork was dirty.....

I witnessed one server putting cups inside the ice bin to scoop the ice... That's a absolute No No!!!

I would NEVER stand in a line waiting for hours to get in this place....It's not that good!!!

This wouldn't be my first choice to eat....

The entire staff need to take a food handlers class....

I would give them 3 Stars....

Try for yourself....

The line was long and it was HOT outside, but they had complimentary cold bottles of water for guest outside. I was with friends so waiting wasn’t too bad. The turkey leg and Cajun corn was well worth the wait. Our waiter was very nice and we didn’t have to wait too long to be served. I’ll definitely be back. I may try to go on a weekday instead of a weekend in the future.
